Annual Report 2017-18

St. Soldier Elite Convent School is a group of schools. Majitha is the third branch of this group. St. Soldier Elite Convent School Jandiala Guru and Chawinda Devi are well established schools and are affiliated with CBSE. Foundation stone of this school was laid by Baba Parmanand ji of Baba Hundal Tap Asthan Jandiala Guru in July 2016. With the blessings of Almighty, within a short span, a huge campus was erected for session 2017-18. A baby show was organized for the first time in Majitha area and we hosted the same. This session started in April 2017 with 250 students. Most of the students are from rural background. To bring them to the level of CBSE standard ,we arranged special instructors to improve their language skills. Slow learners were identified for special coaching and were termed as supportive learners. To inculcate reading habits among students we have established well equipped library. All teachers and students are divided into five houses for scholastic and non -scholastic competitions. Our 127 students participated in Mega Dance show which was organized for Gunnies book of world record. Awareness campaign about pollution free Diwali was organized. 56 students participated in Independence Day and Republic Day celebration at sub divisional level Majitha. During summer Vacation a sports camp was organized for 15 days. Among those participants some players were selected for further participation. Our Athletes also participated in Punjab school State games at District and State level. Sports Day and Annual Function were celebrated with great enthusiasm. Well known personalities of local area joined us and enjoyed the lovely activities of tiny tots. In the presence of all parents outstanding students were honoured by the Chief Guest. Plantation day was celebrated by planting shady and Medicinal plants along the boundary wall with the help of students. To beautify the campus variety of ornamental and attractive flower bearing plants were planted in the campus.

Annual Report 2018-19

St.Soldier Elite Convent School began its 2nd session by seeking blessings from The Almighty. 'Akhand Path' was organized. Students as well as teachers performed sewa and a very harmonious environment was generated, and children felt connected with their rich heritage. Under the guidance of well qualified teachers, School has shown good results in academic, games & sports and in Cultural activities. Change is noticed by our parents and stakeholders. Managing committee has provided latest infrastructure. School has well equipped kinder Garten Classes, Smart Classrooms, Computer lab, Music room, Art room, centralized R.O system, 4 watercoolers and Genset. 200 mts track and various playgrounds are available for students interested in games and sports. Within one year, a strong house system was established. Students are performing their best with healthy and competitive spirit and marvelous results are obtained.

To create awareness among students about the issues persisting in society, We organized and participated in different campaigns about traffic rules, Pollution free Diwali, Sawach Bharat yojana, World Environment Day and Go- green campaign. Dance Teachers, karate, Gymnastic and Athletic Coaches are available for imparting training. In sports our students participated in zonal, District and State level. Students/Players got medals in "Tandrust Punjab Khedan" and also achieved overall trophy in it. A remarkable annual day was celebrated. The chief Guest was Mr. Surinder Singh Sodhi IPS, Former IG Punjab Police, Arjun Awardee and Olympian.

To look after the plants planted during 2017-18 duties were assigned to students of different houses under the guidance of House Masters.

Students were encouraged for dignity of Labour /work and they enjoyed it.

Annual Report 2019-20

We had 335 students during this session mentored by 13 teachers. All teachers put their best efforts to achieve targets fixed for them. Improvement was observed in every field like academics, cultural (performing art & visual art) and sports. Parents and students enjoyed the friendly atmosphere of the session. Management installed AC for Kindergarten classes. CCTV cameras were installed at vulnerable locations. Campus now became green with the growth of plants. Management of educationists tried to create congenial atmosphere. One of the Members of managing committee is retired principal of Navodaya Vidyalaya under whose guidance school followed the CBSE norms and showed excellent results in academics and sports. Students percentage improved and players got over all trophy in district level competitions. School introduced day boarding classes in which students were able to complete their home assignments under the guidance of teachers. During this session slow learners were adopted by volunteer teachers. They strived hard to bring them up to required level. During this session 550th anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji was celebrated with great enthusiasm. students, teachers and parents enjoyed the function and took part in sewa with Tan, Man and Dhan.

Write up on Academic Achievements

St Soldier Elite Convent School Sohian Kalan road Majitha started its for session in 2017-18. As the students were from different schools with different backgrounds, the management and the faculty members accepted the challenge to bring them to the level of their expectation. The first and foremost challenge was to improve their language skills and clarity of fundamentals of mathematics in them. To create a congenial atmosphere, students were engaged in different activities (both scholastic and non- scholastic). By close monitoring slow learners were identified and efforts were made to arrange special remedial classes for them. Along with these efforts Day Boarding Classes are arranged towards the end of the day for one hour. During this time subject Teachers guide the Students and give them tips regarding their home assignment. These measures showed a lot of improvement in the students and parents had to appreciate the efforts made by the school. Teachers' training programs were also organized. Subject capacity building course and refresher courses were organized at St Soldier Elite Convent School Chawinda Devi and Jandiala Guru.

In Order to meet the requirement of this area, Special attention is being paid to enhance coaching in games and sports. Special coaching camps are being organized during summer vacations and these have proved to be fruitful for the students. Our Athletes have got first and second positions in 800 mts, 400 mts and 100 mts. Our Athletes got first positions in shotput, Discuss throw and long jump in Punjab School district Athletic Meet. During Punjab School Zonal level games held by Punjab Government Sports Department. Our Students bagged 31 Gold Medals, 14 Silver Medals and 7 Bronze Medals.

Parent teacher association proposed that students scoring above 95 percent marks we taken for a trip to some historical place free of cost. Plans were made for celebrating 550th birthday of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji on 25th October 2019. As per suggestions of PTA members a Quiz regarding Makkar Sankranti and Basant Panchami were planned and multimedia was used for this purpose. Beginning of new session was also discussed especially regarding the possible problems going to be faced due to covid-19. Parents suggested that in order to minimize the academic loss to the students and keep them gainfully busy, On-line classes be arranged and accordingly the management and teachers made all possible efforts.

As per suggestion of school management committee an agreement was made with Techvein private solutions Limited to avail its services for digitalizing the office work and making teaching-learning process more effective. As proposed by SMC, in order to enhance the security in school campus, CCTV cameras were installed at vulnerable locations. Fencing around Kinder Garten was also proposed and erected for additional security of small kids.
